CSN Fall 2009 Nursing 1st Semester Questions

Published

hey there. i know the nursing program is about to start in less than 2 months... i have mixed feelings about it. i'm excited, but at the same time i'm scared. but i was just curious, will i have to remember the things i learned in my biology classes? because honestly, i don't remember much. do you guys think it is advisable to go through my biology text books and lecture notes?

i took a CNA class and did really well. my friends tell me that the nursing program is basically application of skills, etc... i'm a little confused. everyone tells me i'll be fine.. but i'm still really nervous which i think is normal.. but i was wondering if nursing 101 was sorta like the CNA course. i'm hoping it is. i enjoy that type of stuff. unlike biology, where some aspects left me confused. hehe.

so i hope you guys can help me.. this is my first post. THANKS so much in advance.. :)

"basically application of skills" i m not agree with this.

i graduated from CSN in May 2009.

first semester was hardest as compare to others.

if you will be in third semester you would think 1st semester was easy. for me and my class and as many as people know it was a hell. firstly be ready to pass the math test so if you had math100b just practice simple calculations. i will find the links and post it. you can just have one wrong from 15 or 20 calculations.it is i think 95%.

to pass the class it is 75%, i am not trying to scare you just prepare yourself. if you have more questions feel free to ask.or send me pm.

are you taking the skills/toolbox class that's going on for the next 3 weeks?

do we need to take the tool box class if we are good at math???

Yeah. I am taking the Nursing Toolbox for Success course. Today was actually my second day of class. I am really enjoying it so far and I'm learning a lot. We just finished learning about Nursing 101 Math Problem Solving. It looked a little confusing at first, but it's actually quite simple. So I think I have the hang of it now. Will the math tests you're talking about consist of these types of math problems? My goal now is to memorize the conversion factors even if we do not need to as of now.

I am quite scared about the nursing program. But I'll just work extra hard. I really do want to pass all my classes.

did anyone take the on line courses offered for nurs 101 or 125?? I am wondering how the on line courses work and if I would be a good candidate to take the on line class instead of in class. Anyone with any insight, please comment. Thanks.
