  1. I believe there was someone who said they were an alternate and they had 24 points. I had 27....
  2. From my past 3 years of experience going to CSN, only one thing is certain... Nothing ever stays the same. There are always things that change. :)
  3. Care plans are taught/learned all throughout the semester. In my opinion, the class isn't that important to take if you have the math skills already. You practice the nursing care plans in clinical... You will be fine even if you don't take the class.
  4. They said the two orientation dates are an all day event. She told me they run from 8 till 3 most likely.... I am planning on going to get my packet first thing so I can go on with our Halloween plans with the kids. :)
  5. Yeah, it does but it is what it is...
  6. First semester classes won't be available for registration till after second orientation. Even Pharm was not available till after second orientation because everything is based on which nurs101 class you take since your nurs 101 dictates most of your other days of clinical and lab. You can always take lectures on line but it depends on your learning style. Personally, I like the classroom. :) I do wish I had taken the tool box because they help with dosage math and care plans. If you have time, I think the tool box class can def be a huge help. I am contemplating about signing up. Books are crazy expensive.... I shopped at amazon the first time but they are all out dated, I'm sure. So, I will have to repurchase... Yuck!
  7. You have to go to the first orientation and then at second orientation is when you can sign up for classes. They make you draw a number when you arrive at the second orientation and then you go in that order to sign up for classes. The classes are clumped together. If you take Nurs 101 on Monday, that class comes with what ever day of clinical and etc. At least that was the way it was back in 2011. :) Enjoy your time and don't stress about that yet! :)
  8. Enjoy the weekend peeps! The real battle awaits come Jan!
  9. Got the call this morning about an hour ago but didn't have time to get on line and post till now. Full time... Congrats to everyone!!!
  10. Correction, I was looking back on my posts from when I got the acceptance and I posted that I got the call around 3pm. Oh man, I am so nervous!!
  11. Wow! You all are really giving me so much info. I haven't been on here for a day and there are like 3 more pages of conversations. LOL I just wanna say that only the ones that get in get a phone call. If you didn't make it in, you get a letter in the mail. No call will be made to those who didn't make the cut. SOoooooo, if your phone rings from CSN, you have a spot!! I will have to say though, I would so answer it, even if I was at work or driving. Just have your headset/blue tooth on. The first time I got accepted, I got the call around 1pm ish... Good luck everyone. I am so nervous....
  12. OMG! You guys have to stop.... I think I'm getting ulcers from all the anxiety. Good news, bad news, uncertain news.... I am soooooo going nuts!
  13. I'm so nervous I think I am going to throw up. Ugh.... I wish November was already here.....
  14. I would not count on next week only because every semester is different. :) That said, it would be awesome if they made the calls next week. The dosage calculation test is not super hard unless you just don't understand algebra. That test is given only after they teach you how to do it the entire week. I think we all need to calm down and just focus on getting a call first before we get all crazy about the dosage calculations test. I was in the program before so I am telling you that you can do it. It is nothing more than algebra, and they go over it with you all week long. You all have done well this far so have faith in yourselves! :)
  15. That really bites! I was not getting my hopes up but was secretly hoping to get a call earlier than the end of the month. Yikes!
