  1. i took biol 189, 223 & 224 at NSC. and 251 at CSN.. i loved being able to work on a human cadaver at NSC because you can see how a human's anatomy is.. some people say biology courses are easier at NSC, i have to disagree. you learn a lot all your biology classes and the teachers can be tough. its very competitive.
  2. the TEAS exam is much easier than the NLN exam, in my opinion.. i didn't buy any study guides. however, i studied biol 189.. there was a lot of questions about 189.. & i was also taking 224 at the time, so it was still somewhat fresh in my mind. however, i highly recomment brushing up on your biol 189.. i think that will help you on the science portion. good luck!
  3. oh, well good luck to you this semester! i heard 3rd semester was fun.. :) thanks for all the info.. you're such a big help. thank you!
  4. oh.. okay, thank you so much for all the information. :) i just really wanted to go to school in the summer so i don't waste any time.. although i am aware that i won't graduate any sooner than i'm supposed to, at least i'll be able to be in school in the summer & not feel like i'm wasting time.. & it'll make fall 2010 easier for me.. thank you so much. :) i start 2nd semester next week & i'm soo nervous.. but i'm just relieved to make it to 2nd semester.. do you guys know if it's true that it's easier than 1st?
  5. hey.. i was just wondering, does anyone know if they offer 3rd semester courses in the summer? i'm in 2nd semester this spring & i wanted to go to school in the summer so i don't waste time.. thanks..
  6. congratulations! :) i tried getting onto the Angel system.. but it doesn't show the syllabus and classes until august something. so how did you guys find that your instructor was re-assigned? i like my choices of professors, so hopefully i can keep my schedule and instructors.
  7. The TEAS test is pretty simple. However, I would strongly advise you to brush up on your Biology. Buying a GED practice test book at Barnes & Noble might help also. I heard many people had difficulty with the TEAS test, but in my opinion the NLN was a lot harder. However, it's different for everyone. I wish you all the luck. :)
  8. Yeah. I am taking the Nursing Toolbox for Success course. Today was actually my second day of class. I am really enjoying it so far and I'm learning a lot. We just finished learning about Nursing 101 Math Problem Solving. It looked a little confusing at first, but it's actually quite simple. So I think I have the hang of it now. Will the math tests you're talking about consist of these types of math problems? My goal now is to memorize the conversion factors even if we do not need to as of now. I am quite scared about the nursing program. But I'll just work extra hard. I really do want to pass all my classes.
  9. hey there. i know the nursing program is about to start in less than 2 months... i have mixed feelings about it. i'm excited, but at the same time i'm scared. but i was just curious, will i have to remember the things i learned in my biology classes? because honestly, i don't remember much. do you guys think it is advisable to go through my biology text books and lecture notes? i took a CNA class and did really well. my friends tell me that the nursing program is basically application of skills, etc... i'm a little confused. everyone tells me i'll be fine.. but i'm still really nervous which i think is normal.. but i was wondering if nursing 101 was sorta like the CNA course. i'm hoping it is. i enjoy that type of stuff. unlike biology, where some aspects left me confused. hehe. so i hope you guys can help me.. this is my first post. THANKS so much in advance.. :)
  10. the nursing program is difficult and i think we should all stick together and help each other in all the ways we can. :) so good luck to everyone. im new to this. but this website and threads have helped me A LOT. ~3
