CSN-College of Southern NV-Max Credit Appeal?

Published

Hello,

I recently applied to CSN for Pre-Nursing. I have a Bachelor's Degree already from Illinois. But I want to go back to school.... in Vegas!...I have never used Financial Aid before. This is my first time applying for it...In My CSN Dashboard To Do List it reads:

You are not eligible to receive a Federal Pell Grant because you reported that you have a bachelors degree (Item 28) or you are working on a degree beyond a bachelors degree (Item 48). If you already have a bachelor (4 yrs) or master (6 yrs) degree you will need to submit a max credit appeal to receive financial aid at CSN.Your Financial Aid Administrator will determine what types of federal student aid you are eligible to receive.

Does anyone know how to go about "Submitting a max appeal" to Financial Aid? I called Financial Aid this morning and the lady sounded confused. She was very vague. She said I needed to write a letter to Financial Aid. Has anyone done this before? I can't find any "Max Credit Appeal" Forms on the website to submit...

HELP PLEASE :) Thank you!

I'd suggest contacting a counselor or call a different campus if you can't find anything online!

Specializes in ER.

Contact an in-house counselor. I had to do one. It was like satisfactory academic progress appeal form. It was easy and the counselor didn't bat an eye because a lot of nursing students in the ADN program fill them out.
