Crocs Mercy Work?

Published

Hello! I'm getting ready to head to nursing school in September and the school is requiring us to have all white shoes. They can be a clog, as long as there is a heel strap or or heel on it. No open toes (obviously) and no holes. However, Crocs happens to make nursing shoes that are affordable and would wipe clean. I am looking at the Mercy Work clogs and am curious if anyone here uses them or would recommend them for school? I have a very flat and wide foot, so finding shoes that don't kill my feet is hard to do sometimes.

Thank you in advance for your advice!

I just bought these because they have great reviews (some of them from medical professionals) on amazon. I have to send the first pair back because they are too big. I also have a wide foot and tend to wear 7-8 size shoe in Women's. The anterior part of the shoe had a huge gap with size 7 and I had about a half inch to spare in the back. I just exchanged them on Amazon today for a size 6 (which I haven't worn since middle school). Patiently awaiting their arrival. Hope this helps with your purchase at least.

It does help! Thanks!

I wear Crocs Neria and really like them. I have issues with my feet and these shoes seem to work best for me. (I have tried many, including Dansko). They reduce the pain and ache I feel at the end of a 12 hour shift. I have not tried the Mercy clog, though. But in general I like Crocs and have some I wear outside of work, too.

I wore the Crocs Lavender (discontinued style, I see them occasionally on eBay) when I was working a non-patient care job in the hospital that still required a ton of walking--and I was walking to work in downtown Seattle up some pretty steep hills. Those shoes were cute, comfortable, and seriously took a beating! I was impressed.

I'm concerned that since they're spongey that they don't ever really wipe clean--or am I just being neurotic? It wouldn't be the first time. ;)

I just got size 6 in the mail. I don't think I like them. There is so much umph in the heel it feels like wearing a heel. maybe I just need to break them in?

I'd be interested in hearing whether or not there was a break in period for you. I have a pair of cheap flip flops with a slight heel and anytime I wear them for extended periods of time, I can tell that it works different muscles in my legs and especially hips, even causing them to be sore after awhile. I would hate to buy a nursing shoe that had the same effect on me after 12+ hours.

You might be on to something there... I'm that way also and probably would worry that they weren't ever totally clean as I'm walking in my front door...

I don't have any issues with my feet other than that they are just so flat. Anything with an arch built in kills me after a couple of hours. Crocs seem like they are fairly flat, which is why I was interested in them. I wear Ariat Fat Baby boots and I wish that they built a nursing type of shoe because my feet love them so much. Although, this past weekend I happened to try on some Skechers with a memory foam insole (Synergy Elite Status, if you're curious)... Felt heavenly on my feet, and I will probably end up giving them a try.

I have that exact pair. Haven't worn them for work yet as i havent started yet, but had a similar pair when I worked as a CNA and they were comfy. And good luck in nursing school, it's a crazy adventure!

Thank you! I'm really eager to get started.
