hi everyone
this is my first time to post, I'm currently working here in Uk and planning to work in vancouver, I want to ask any1 that if could you help me on what materials do I need to review for the crne exam, I already had cna 4th edition. anything else how about mosby or lippincot? any good? and is it possible to take the exam even your not working yet in vancouver? thanks a lot for any replies.
hi D_plumber.
I just sat the exam 2 weeks ago as an International nurse before working in the system. I found that there were no questions in there I couldnt answer because I didnt have any canadian system experience.
I would definatly recomend doing it that way, If it is what is easier for you.
my advice is to study the areas that you dont know, Ie maternity, mental health and peadiatrics. The rest you will find is general nursing knowledge that are seriously types of questions that you cant study for because they are kind of questions a non nursing person could answer as well.
Oh and study orthopeadics as well.
I sat the exam before I had a job lined up and has worked fine for me.

While you certainly may study while you're still in the UK, you will have to come to Canada to write the CRNE.
