CRNA's: What luxuries did you allow yourself after graduating and starting work ?

After 2-3 years of not working b/c of the incredible demands of school, what did you allow yourself as a "pat on the back" for graduating and after paying back all loans.?

Did you buy your dream sports car, fatten up your wardrobe, plan vacations to exotic places, put a down payment on a house? :)

I know nothing of the amount of training and the sacrifices you have to make daily in order to become a competent anesthesia provider. 2 pals of mine who are crna's tried to explain to me a few times in the past, both really could'nt get into it cause it was too painful for them, like opening an old wound. One claims he might have post traumatic stress syndrome from his program. SO I gave him the phone# to richard swartz. But i'll say any treat you give yourself after your long hard journey is worth it.
