I've noticed on Gaswork that there are very few (like 2) listings for CRNA jobs for Washington D.C., and the salaries for both are between $110,000 and like $130,000.
Is D.C. saturated with CRNAs or is this particular website just not showing all the available jobs?
Are there any CRNAs on this board practicing in Washington, D.C.? If so, is the salary range on gaswork representative of most CRNA jobs? Are these lower range salaries due to competition with AAs? Has D.C. opted out of the doctor supervision rule?
I know these are a lot of questions. Thank you for anything you have to offer. :)

Most likely the site is not showing all of the availible positions. Currently the hospitals of DC are not doing the best. GU just cut back on its use of anesthesia providers. Howard has a huge problem in their aneshtesia department (recently lost their residency program). Hospital center is doing well it seems, I think three or four people from my class are going to end up working there. I find it interesting that they pay AA's the same as CRNAs.

I beleive there are. Whether or not they will answer is to be seen.

Yes it is, the position I am considering in the Baltimore area pays roughly the same.

Lower than what? In my limitted experience, these are verry competitive big city salaries. The big money does not come around until you go to the rural setting.
Has D.C. opted out of the doctor supervision rule?
No.
Hope it helped.
They pay AAs as much as CRNAs? Wow! I heard that it's almost like that in Atlanta too.

Yep, if this ad is any indication.

BTW, the D.C. City Council is currently considering eliminating AA practice there.
