Specialties CRNA

Does anyone know the possibilities of gtransitioning from a CRNA to and MD Anesthesist. If so how long is it an how would you go about doing such a change.

yeah, if you want to be a doc then do it. but you should look deep into yourself and find out why. why really? no really... why? tell me why? you wanna help people? you wanna learn all you can about helping people? you wanna be called doctor? (takes a real man to admit that one) really.. why? what is it. come on. tell me. I got to know? what is the drive? mabye your mom will finally accept you? maybe they'll stop making fun of you at family reunions and school reuions? why? why? why?

you are awfully sensitive and melodramatic about this. These are some pretentious and presumptuous accusations. I have no problem with nurses/CRNAs becoming physicians. I don't feel the least bit betrayed.

To each his own.......

matt ... lay of the caffeine dude. :rotfl: but ... yes, yes, especially yes, yes (mommy never really understood why i chose nursing), yes and yes (i'll show those jocks).

Personally, I very glad that some people of the intelligence, drive, and passion for the field of medicine to become MDAs or any of the medical specialities. I have only the greatest respect and admiration for almost all doctors. I do not think they deserve the disrespect that so often seem to receive on this board. I find it rather disturbing that every asks why would you want to become a MDA? I think you should appreciate someone's drive to spend 10-15 years to reach such a lofty goal! If you have these qualities, I say GO FOR IT!

alansmith...hmm...VERY melodramatic, why? Sounds like someone really is directing those questions to themselves...Really don't find anything wrong with a nurse becoming a doctor or a doctor becoming a nurse... You CAN do anything and BE anything you want to be if that is what you want...

I dont feel betrayed. I didn't say that.... did I?

we are going into finnals and I am pretty high strung. Just wondering why anyone would want to do that?

enlighten me., educate me?

My name is Gaylord Fauker and I'm a male nurse....

Too many male nursing anonymous 12 step programs...?

This thread kinda reminds me of the old "I just want to get my CNA or LPN to see if I like it, then I will get my R.N. and then BSN and eventually my ARNP." Why not just go straight for the R.N. from the get go? Sounds like a similar mind set to me (the loooong road).

Just thought I'd clarify that my above post related to the movie "Meet the Parents" for all those who haven't seen it.
