Nursing Students SRNA

Hello

Is there anyone applying, have interviewed or has been accepted for Thomas Jefferson University DNP CRNA program in Philadelphia? They are the first school in Philly to have a DNP program. I am considering applying. Any suggestions? Thoughts? Thanks.

Thanks akapterian! Well you surely did deserve a seat in their CRNA program. I agree, CCRN is a must!

@akepterian how long after submitting your application were you contacted for an interview??

It wasn't very long. I think it was within 2-3 weeks.

Nice thank you!

Officially offered admission to Jefferson for this Fall 2016! :D looking for my other classmates beginning this year, too. I'm from the Philadelphia area, so if there are any out-of-staters, I would be glad to answer any questions about moving here!

@artandscience how did your interview go?! How soon did you find out after? and would you mind sharing your stats at all? I just submitted my application this weekend

did you all use the forms from their nursing cas site to submit transcripts?

@Sirnurse Yes sir I did.

The interview was really straightforward, like akapterian said. It was more conversational and they made me feel comfortable through the entirety of it. Check out other posts on this site regarding "the interview" and you'll be in a good place. :yes: I found out in about two weeks, but unofficially at the end of the interview.

I have a 3.8 GPA, a little over 2 years experience by start date in a high-acuity CT SICU, GRE 311 (this program waived it), CCRN, also took a Graduate level course (not at Jeff though...). I'm also involved on my unit's committees and with mentorship.

Best of luck to you! :laugh:

Perhaps we could start a fb group for this class? I've seen other classes in the forums starting one. I don't know how useful it is but probably will help with getting to know each other.

That's an awesome idea! It would be really beneficial to have a place to discuss topics unique to our cohort. After all, we'll be the program's first DNP graduates. :cool: do you know anyone else starting with us?

Nope. Not yet. But I'll probably make one when I'm back in the states later this week. I'll post here when it's up and people can search for it then.
