I'm interested in this topic as well. Also how much are people going into debt these days for school? I know this largely depends on where you live and the program you attend...

it really depends on the amount of your loans and the salary that you are able to secure as a CRNA. Most SRNA's come out of anesthesia school with 80 to 100k in debt. The optimum is to sacrifice for a few years and pay this off within 4 or 5 years.Check out the website crnafinancialplanning.com for help.

I paid for my owns rent, bills, and partial tuition while in school. I worked 2 jobs and still ended up with $53,000. This was for BSN. I think I will have it paid off in 4 years on a pretty basic RN salary, but I've been paying much more then minimum payments. Has been a real pain, I would have preferred to use my money for a house, but will come in time.

got a 140k (2 undergrad degrees plus wifes student debt) debt now and will prob tac on anywhere from 80-160k with crna school depening on whether my wife works or not (she is a nurse as well) based. so should come out with a hefty little chunk of debt...but still worth it :)

Have buddies coming of school with $180,000.00 worth of loans. Is that doable or is it too much. This includes tuition and living expenses.

That sounds like too much with current interest rates. Try to stay in the vicinity of 120k.

holy crap denver and oscar! that's a lot of money you are quoting...I keep thinking, 'that's a house!'. We will see what I come out with. I really hope it's under 100,000...

Usually if you have no savings you will end up with a little above 100K. Unless you go to one of the schools that charge low tuition.

100K would be nice, but I have a wife and three children. I highly doubt I'll be able to keep the debt that low, unfortunately.

For those of u familiar with these kind of debts, what do the monthly payments come out to be?
