I'm a LPN who's working on an associates RN and planning on working towards a CRNA after the army. I'm wondering if there are any CRNA programs that accept just a associates RN who has ACLS, PALS, CCRN, CEN, TNCC, and a years worth in ICU exp. (though it might be in Iraq)? Are there any programs out there, or is my only option to knock out my BSN first? Any advice would be awesome. Thanks,Shua25
You may not like the answer but the answer is no:cry: you can not be accepted with just an associates degree. No program can accept a student who does not have a BSN or other "appropriate baccalaureate degree". That is a requirement from the Council on Accreditation (COA). It is set in concrete! however the programs have some latitude in determining if they want to accept degrees other than BSN and what degrees they will accept. Just keep on working at it and thanks for your service in the army:yeah:. Best Wishes and Good Luck:typing
From all the ones I have looked at must have BS. If you have your ADN you can always do online classes for the BSN some will even give you credit for your ADN and not require a lot of clinicals. University of North Al. did that for me I only had to do 2 24 hr clinicals.
A lot also want you to have CCRN. You will need to take the GRE also.
Good luck, your GPA is very important
