Critical Care and the new grad

Hello,

I am a senior nursing student doing research on the new nursing graduate in the critical care role. My research question is "Should new graduate be allowed to work on a specialty unit such as the ICU, MICU, ER or any other area that is considered critical care." I would like the opinion of experinced nurses in evaluating this question. Please be as open as possible about your thoughts and feelings on the subject. Thank you for your help
