Hi, I plan on taking a nutrition course this fall but my university only offers 2 credit nutrition courses. For some of the absn program pre-reqs I noticed most of the schools wanted 3 credits/ 3 hours of nutrition. Do you think the number of credits matters? This nutrition course that I'm taking is a 300 level bio course and the professor states that it's meant for students who plan on going into the nursing field. If someone can answer my question it will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Unfortunately that's a question that only the schools you are interested in applying to can answer. A quick email to their nursing department can clear that up for you-good luck!

Yes. It definitely does. If the program you're interested in specifies three hours, make sure that's what you take. I met at least a few people in school who had to retake classes because the classes they had previously taken were not the "right" number of hours.
