Was shocked today.
Got a job offer in the county hospital, cleared out CPT requirement from school and was all ready for returning to work flied in June. A email crushed all the dream.
The hospital does not longer hire any new RNs without permanent residency status, which include CPT and OPT.
I asked precisely that if I get my OPT after I finish my BSN, and obtain the OPT, will I be able to apply the job in the same hospital? The answer is "NO, every new hires RNs will be persons holding legal permanent residency".
Should I try other hospital ?

You could look at other hospitals and I don't think you are loosing anything by trying them but be prepared that you may find this. May have to consider moving to find a hospital

Sorry to hear about your job offer being revoked.
Do you have nursing experience or a new grad? The reason why I ask many hospitals many not want to take on the paperwork of a CPT and OPT for limited pay back. Why not ask your school and ask where international students are finding employment.
I had one year working experience under OPT when I finished my ADN, now I will receive my BSN in end of this year, and applying for OPT.. But where can I get a job since the OPT is good for another one year.
One year experience puts you in a different playing field. Can you go back to your former job?
Tough situation, I wish you luck. With some experience under your belt they would not have to worrying about orienting you forever.
