on CPR

i won't be entering lvn school until january ...i was wondering if anybody knows if you need to get certified in CPR before you start school or not? thanks:confused:

Same for me--Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professionals by the AHA needed before the school year starts. They teach the classes at my school, both for nursing students and the general public. Maybe they do at yours, too!

I'm sure your school will send you info about what kind you need as it gets closer to January.

my program requires us to have cpr before the second week of the first clinical. i was lucky to find an evening course at a local hospital.

i have the book already and it says.. "fundamentals of bls for healthcare providers". american heart association.
