Hey all,
I am an international student and just got the offer for practical nursing program May 2018.
I just want to know that anyone here (as an international student) is taking or took the exam before? Because I saw the information on the ONA website, I am so confused whether international student can take the exam or not?
Thanks.

To summarize what dishes has told you:
1. If you graduate from a Canadian practical nursing program, you are eligible to write the CPRNE.
2. Passing the CPRNE makes you eligible to apply for registration as a practical nurse - providing you meet ALL other requirements. Those requirements include either Canadian citizenship, permanent residency status or authorization to work as a nurse in Canada.
3. Without registration with CNO you cannot be an RPN. The "R" stands for "registered". This is the focus of your questions.
4. Under current conditions there is a surplus of qualified and experienced Canadian practical nurses, nurses who do not have jobs in nursing.
5. Foreign graduates of Canadian educational institutions may be granted a work permit following graduation, depending upon the length of the course. The permit is based on a 1:1 ratio = months in the program:months on the permit.
6. Having a work permit does not guarantee a job. So although one may graduate from a Canadian practical nursing program, pass the CPRNE, become registered with CNO and have a work permit in hand, one might still need to work at Subway or Tim Hortons to pay the rent. And that WON'T be covered by one's work permit.
