CPNE Test Date!!!

Published

I can't believe it! I called yesterday to ask about how long the wait to test in SPAC is, and there was a cancellation! My test date is 1/9/15, that doesn't leave me with much more time to study, but I CAN DO IT!

Is anyone else testing that weekend @ Grady? Has anyone tested there recently, and would like to give any advice/tips?

Congratulations, that is great!! When did you apply for that site? I just finished my FCCAs and focusing on CPNE now :woot:

Won't be there but testing that weekend as well, best of luck!!

I submitted my application last week, and everything was officially accepted Monday. I emailed Tuesday asking about how long the wait would be, but didnt get a response. I called yesterday and asked, and they told me the wait is around June-July, but call back tomorrow because they might have a cancellation...And they did! So, total time from application to getting test date was one week, and application to test is one month! I know its soon, but I can't see myself waiting 6-7 months when I can get it over with now!

Wow that was quick! Lucky You! I wish you all the best

Congratulations! Buckle down and practice practice practice! Have you done a care plan class or submitted any to EC? Make sure you have those well in hand! Practice that grid every minute!!! :cat:

Congrats girl, am now CPNE bound as well, and would be testing at Grady, I hope to be able to test around February, please practice as much as you can and keepbus posted on your success!

Passed at Grady! I can't believe it is finally over. I passed all lab stations the first night. I passed my first PCS and failed my second. I passed both PCS's on the last day! Whew!!!

That's fantastic, I'm proud of you:up:! How long did you study with that short of a wait time?

Congratulations! It's a great feeling of accomplishment! 🎉

@ b.chill Congratulations. 😉

Thank you everyone! I studied for about 4 weeks. I did Sheri Taylor's online workshop which was VERY helpful! Her care plan videos were great, and she sends a lot of practice care plans, but it did take a while for her to get graded care plans back to me. I actually only got 2 graded care plans, and I submitted 7. The lab station and assessment/management videos were so great in giving me an idea of how things should flow. Take advantage of the care plans you can send directly to Excelsior. With Sheri Taylor, you only send the planning phase, with Excelsior, you get an entire PCS-so you complete a planning care plan, revised care plan (if needed), evaluation care plan, and narrative notes. They offer great critiques!

I bought the wound from excelsior and practiced on that. I ended up using a technique from YouTube.

If I had to do it all again, I would still use Sheri Taylor's online workshop, and study exactly the way I did, but put a little more emphasis on different types of care plans.
