Im working on the study guide and am on unit4 critical elements- section where you are given pt info and you write out a nsg diagnosis with outcomes and interventions. My question is this:: the answers (nsg diagnosis labels) they provide for the pt info, are those the CORRECT answers/ nsg diagnosis to be used FIRST?? Or can there be others as well?

Im confused!!

Best advice I can give you is to take Sheri Taylor's online workshop and watch her careplan videos and webinars over and over. I swear that was the best money I ever spent and I am positive it's the reason I passed my cpne with no repeats. She makes it so easy to write a careplan that I was able to bang one out in about 5 minutes and I never had to revise it. I saved so much time with the careplan part of the cpne that I was able to focus on my PCS and not feel pressured for time.

I just bought lynn's dvds last night on a friends recommendation. Are they as good?

I have no idea, I don't know who that is. I'm not promoting Sheri Taylor, I'm just saying that in my opinion her careplan videos are amazing. I think Sheri's online workshop is $147 a month, mine was cheaper since I went to her "in person" workshop....and it was worth every penny. I learned more from her online workshop because I could watch those videos over and over. She also has a facebook site that is full of support and encouragement. I also used all of Rob's mneumonics for my CPNE.

I highly recommend Sheri's online workshop. I used it and she made the careplans so easy. I passed CPNE last weekend at Mansfield, OH. :)
