I have 4-5 months to prepare for CPNE and don't have any hospital experience (curently working in a vet hospital). How can I get some. What about volunteer in a local hospital? Please help me out. Thanks

I would try to find something paid - if not at a hospital, then at least maybe at a clinic where you could help with drawing up and giving meds, etc.
Most of the time, hospital volunteer work is going to be 'hands off' because of liability issues. In most hospitals, the rules won't even allow a volunteer to take a patient's temp.
Thanks a lot

With no clinical experience one of the best ways to gain practice is to buy the skills kit from excelsior and practice, have someone monitor you, and also go to an excelsior workshop, they will validate your skills, buy the video and watch that, you can look on ebay for some deals on the video. read and read your cpne guide, practice your assessment at home on your family.
I have a couple friends in your same situation that passed. I have gone to the workshop, studied my manual and found these to be very helpful. I am an lpn of 12yrs though and my experience helped, but you can do it.
