  1. I am a BSN student on my very last class and one of my assignments is to do a paper on what are the biggest challenges facing nurse leaders today? As I do my research I thought it would be a great idea to get the opinion of my fellow nurses. Do any of you have thoughts on what is our biggest challenge as we go into 2016? Thank you, Candy
  2. I know this is a year later since these post's, but I am a new RN and have applied several times at washoe and NO REPLY, this is very frustrating. Any advice?? candy
  3. With no clinical experience one of the best ways to gain practice is to buy the skills kit from excelsior and practice, have someone monitor you, and also go to an excelsior workshop, they will validate your skills, buy the video and watch that, you can look on ebay for some deals on the video. read and read your cpne guide, practice your assessment at home on your family. I have a couple friends in your same situation that passed. I have gone to the workshop, studied my manual and found these to be very helpful. I am an lpn of 12yrs though and my experience helped, but you can do it. candy:lol2:
  4. The workshop provided by excelsior is pretty good. Remember they are the ones you have to pass the cpne on. And there workshop I found to be very helpful. It is also expensive 700.00 plus airfair, ect good luck, I test in two weeks candy
  5. congratulations on passing your cpne, i want to be were you are!!!! i have taken the workshop, bought the video, do you think studying for a solid 2weeks before my test is enough, i am taking time off work, and plan to study very intensly. candy
