Yup, I'm one of those with latex sensitivity. I've received notification that my disability paperwork was submitted correctly and is approved except the fact that I don't have a CPNE date yet. (Apparently they have to submit some sort of letter to the site I go to.) Anyway, will they already know at the CPNE site that I need non-latex gloves? I mean, will they be ready for me, or will I have to say, yo, I need some gloves? Will I have to carry around a box of non-latex gloves in the PCSs? I'm just trying to be prepared in my mind...it's not a huge deal, but I want to know.
Just in case, for anyone with latex sensitivity who is going to take the CPNE, if you didn't know, you have to fill out disability paperwork from the EC website and have your practitioner write a letter for you to get latex-free gloves along with an application from EC. I did this process when I had my physical, which made my life easier.

The CE (Clinical Examiner) will have everything you need for each PCS assembled and will ask if you need anything else. Your time will be extended if they say forgot you have the sensitivity and they need to find the right stuff. But they're organized and I wouldn't stress about it. If you are doing a sterile procedure I'd certainly ask for an extra pair of sterile gloves in case you contaminate the first pair. And there are latex-free gloves at the lab.
:)
Thank you kindly!
