Real quick question for those that have taken the CPNE. Do we get to keep with us during our PCS , the PCS Kardex that tells us what areas to cover?? If so can we make our grid and such on the back of that??

Well, one more question.. does the kardex look exactly as it does in the Excelsior Study Guide?

Thank you!!!:)

The Kardex is used for the entire pcs, you use that to check ID with 20 minute checks, when giving meds right before adminstering you use MAr check ID with that, you can make a grid during planning phase behind the papers you get. I didn't go to cpne yet, I did go to a workshop.

All of the sample documents in the SG are the exact same documents you will have during the CPNE; only it will be in booklet form. There are a couple blank pages at the end and the back cover that you can do your grid/make notes on.

Awesome, thank you for the reply. One more thing then, so just like in the study guide PCS, the CE will put the check marks beside the care you are to do, i.e. siderails up x2?

Thank you :)

Exactly; if it's not checked or the AOC not starred; don't do it.

Thank you!! :)
