So I finally got my CPNE test date with Excelsior college: next month at the end of November! I will be testing at New York Hospital Queens.
Any Excelsior grads that completed their CPNE there?
Any tips?
Wish me luck guys!

Best of luck and wishes!
How long of a wait have you had from the time of registering to getting your date?
@tmjones1 thank you! Ughhhhhhh 5 months!!!! And that's just because I kept bugging for a cancellation date. They were trying to tell me I was probably going to have to wait until Feb/March 2015! And I finished in June! Ridiculous.

Good luck, I hope you fly through it like it's nothing.
So how often were you calling about a cancellation? And did they clue you in to how often cancellations come up?
I'm sending my app in this Monday and as soon as they process it I'm going to be calling them every day until I find a cancellation somewhere.

Congratulations! Five months? Yikes!
As an aside, how long a study/prep period after FCCA is recommended for the CPNE? I'm already doing some NCLEX review in my spare time and plan to take it pretty quickly after graduation, but waiting five months to schedule the CPNE...wow.
Anyway good luck!

The school catalog says to expect about a six-month wait between application and CPNE.
@[COLOR=#003366]Medic85907 Thank you! I'm praying for that also! They didn't tell me how often cancellations were coming up but I was bugging them 1-2x per week. I would suggest more. They had tried steering me away from that, but I kept at it and thank god got a date.
@[COLOR=#003366]SnowballDVM I was trying to do it asap right after! I am a practicing nurse and I just need to practice/run through the steps they want us to follow. I wasn't trying to waste half my life waiting for this test smh. I will have more to say once I graduate this program...
Oh wow six months! Thanks for the info, I was hoping it was more like three.
You can shorten the timeline by calling daily for cancellation spots. :)
It's a headache. And they were trying to tell me 9 months. It's not a happy process. I was hoping 3 myself...when I test it will have been the 5 months -_-
