So, I took a cancellation date to a more travel friendly test site, thing is, it's 4 weeks sooner than my original date! Ahhh!!! Lol, I have been studying, practicing labs, practicing charting, taking manual b/p's on my husband, apical pulse on him and my cats (peds sub).

Any tips would be greatly appreciated, especially for Albany.

I have also been taking Sheri Taylor online.

So motivated, anxious and scared right now! :)

How are you doing with careplans? That is one thing that can trip people up. Are you using mnemonics and a grid? How fast can you do your grid with various areas of care? I used a whiteboard to practice that. :) Best of luck!!!

^^ So far I have done 7 care plans with Sheri Taylor and submitted 2 care plans through excelsior, 2nd excelsior review went well. I have been practicing about 3-5 care plans a week aside from that. I have a grid that I can write in about 5 minutes. I have mnemonics for all areas of care except mobility, I&O and enteral feeding. I think my grid is going to be my only key reference really so I am trying to master that the best I can as quickly as possible. I have also scheduled the phone care plan conferences for next week and the week after. Did you use those? if so, did you feel they were helpful? Thank you so much for your input :)
