CPMC RN Training Program 2016

Published

Just checking to see if anyone else has applied to CPMC's RN Training Program for summer '16 / fall '16? I'm assuming that Sutter has decided to not participate in Samuel Merritt's T2P this summer/ fall as I noticed they don't have it listed on SMU's site. I was told we are to hear back from them by 6/6 with 48 positions being filled (2/3 med surg 1/3 L&D / Mom & Baby ; 24 for summer and 24 for fall). Does anyone have any info on what they are looking for? Do they prioritize local new grad students? GPA? If a student precepted at CPMC? BSN vs. ADN? Volunteer experience?

Mswtruth hmmm what day did he interview for? I think getting a letter from CPMC stating I didn't get in will give me peace of mind. But I still have not heard back. I've already prepared myself for the "you were not chosen letter"

SodaBay wow you are lucky to have gotten your ATT so soon!

Hi amalingo, congrats on getting in! I received an email from the recruiter with instructions on how to "apply" online to get the hiring process started, I'm sure you will receive one shortly as well. My letter did not specify a unit or campus but I interviewed for med surg and was told at the interview I could be placed at either campus which is no biggie for me. I am hoping to be placed on a telemetry floor though since my real passion is ED nursing! Im thinking that once we get through some of the paperwork stuff they will give us more info. What department did you apply for?

Thanks lizzz415! I'm just getting anxious because it's been a couple days since I sent my confirmation email (6/6) and haven't heard anything back! But my start date is in October so maybe they're organizing it by that. I applied for med-surg as well. When will you be starting?

Wow, surprised they actually sent out rejection letters. I got the waiting list letter and I thought that was their way of saying "no".

Happy_Nurse26 he interviewed before the open interviews as he did his preceptorship at the St. Luke's campus. Another who also did her preceptorship there also was not accepted. Some of my cohort who interviewed with me on the 23rd received a letter in the mail too indicating they did not get in. I still haven't heard anything. I've been thinking that they may be prioritizing BSN applicants over ADN. We are all ADN May graduates with most of us returning to school and nursing being our second career. I interviewed on the 23rd. Hope they give us a chance as many if us are already in the process of getting our BSN and are stellar on the floor!

I start in July which may be why I heard something sooner. I wouldn't worry about it I'm sure you'll get something soon! Congrats again amalingo!

Congrats to the people that got accepted! Have you guys applied for the reqs and received further instructions from anyone regarding the next steps for the application process?

I finally got my ATT! Will be taking the test two weeks from today : ) do you guys know what the two campuses are that we could be at for med surg?

Congrats to the people that got accepted! Have you guys applied for the reqs and received further instructions from anyone regarding the next steps for the application process?

Hey! I haven't received any further information past the initial acceptance letter I got in the mail. I emailed the coordinator twice but no response! Have you gotten anything?

No I haven't, I'm wondering when we'll actually get instructions for the rest of the process. Did you apply for the requisition yet?

hey folks!

I interviewed on the 23rd and I got a letter telling me I was on the Waitlist on June 6th. The interview went well for being my first one I landed.

I just got my license yesterday so I'm hoping that helps in terms of the waitlist.

Who knows!

Congrats to those who got in :D
