Hello,
I need to get a CPIC criminal records check for my registration for the college of nurses of ONtario. I only applied for the criminal records check FORM B. Is that the right records check? The other form there was for Vulnerable checks. I only have to wait around 10 minutes and they have my record already. I am just worried if I got the right one because the CPIC checks I heard from the others took them 1 to 2 weeks to get. Thank you.

It might depend on where you are. Toronto Police mailed my CPIC, which arrived in about 2 weeks. CPIC takes less time than the Vulnerable Sector, because a CPIC isn't as indepth. I also required a Vulnerable Sector for my job.

I used my police clearance with vulnerable sector when I submitted my registration forms to CNO. (I submitted a photocopy to my employer) It was ok and saved me money.

Yeah, I totally agree that it truly depends on the region you get it. From what I understand, the area you reside in dictates that police region you go to for these documents. Peel region used to give the document within 30 minutes, so it depends entirely on their policy

I went to Newmarket and they had it for me within 15 minutes. That was both CPIC and VSS.
Thank you guys!! I only had to wait for 10 minutes hehe. Now time to submit it to CNO and look for work
