I thought the questions in the Deboer book were way too basic and easy. I had that one and the official CPEN question book and the official book (and the exam) were WAY harder.
Also, ENPC is a great prep as mentioned above. I did the questions here and took ENPC closely before my text: https://www.thriftbooks.com/w/certified-pediatric-emergency-nurse-cpen-review-manual_emerg-nurses-assoc/2525389/item/7078030/?gclid=Cj0KCQjw2tCGBhCLARIsABJGmZ6iE68XmQQVcy2btfZ1oh2enk0iD5EusaTr0GebXUrxd1UfLEhsTrYaAoa7EALw_wcB#idiq=7078030&edition=7624472
I'm studying for this now and have a test date in about 2 months.
I have the Debar book as well as the book from the ENA that I plan to complete before the exam. Any other suggestions?
(side note - I have PALS but not ENPC. I work in a general ED which includes Peds patients but I am not Peds specific. I just have a strong interest in Peds)

I worked in several all-ages EDs and ENPC is so valuable! I would encourage you to seek out an ENPC course at some point, some states even offer grant-funded courses. I paid for my first ENPC course out of my own pocket.
Best of luck on the CPEN!!

How did you study and what materials did you use to study for the CPEN exam? I already have the DeBoer's CPEN review book.
