Covid freebies- crocs, B.J.s, masks

Hi all, I haven't logged on in awhile cause work has been exhausting, as I'm sure it is everywhere else these days...but I had a few days off to recharge since things are getting better in this area and I thought I would once again try to get a free pair of Crocs...and I got through! I was really surprised...I logged on around 0915 and kept refreshing the page. I think it started around 0930ish and I clicked on it as soon as I saw the get in line button. A co-worker of mine was also able to get a pair about two weeks ago. I thought I would share so people know it's actually real...LOL I always wonder if these give aways are real if I don't know anyone that gets a free item. I got my email confirmation, but I did not get my shipment email yet. They do ask for your organization, whether you are a nurse, or other title. I don't know if they actually verify it. You can pick your size, but not your color. I also went to B.J's and got the free 4 month membership. They let you add a person, so I got a second card for my mom. It's free for her for 4 months also. It's $25 to renew once the 4 months is up.

I gave away some of my own surgical masks and N95s to my co-workers since Covid hit in my area. Within a few weeks, I find out my mom, who is not working at this time, has been spending her time on the phone telling people I need masks. I had told her my company gave out one surgical mask and one N95 to wear forever and ever. I have since received in the mail packs of surgical masks, some N95s, and a face shield. I just picked up a bag full of surgical masks and 4 N95s from another family member who got them from a contact for me. Apparently there will be more coming since I now have family members I haven't seen in ages looking for N95s for me. I have family in another country, so they can get N95s or KN95s. I am going to share them with my co-workers. I didn't ask for any money for anything I gave away, and none of my family members would take any money from me for the supplies. It's been very stressful and exhausting lately, but even with all this craziness in the world today going on, there is still a lot of good...:) It's starting to get better now, but I am preparing for a second wave.

One of my jobs is offering double time for any shifts picked up. At my other job, I will now be getting time and a half for shifts picked up. It's not double time, but it's better than what I'm making now! We've gotten food delivered to us by family members of the residents and once by a local restaurant.

Anybody else getting freebies from Covid?

free food delivered nearly every day, surgical masks and N95 sent from China and Chinese American organizations in the US. Free Girl Scout cookies! Free chipotle burritos ? Free Allbirds shoes but I applied for that one too late, after they sold out. And 50% off Northface products until December (for all nurses, check it out!)
