Hi All! I had some questions about a cover letter. I am planning on applying to a RN new grad program. I have both my LPN and RN license, so do I sign my name LPN, RN or just RN? Also I would appreciate if anyone has any tips or advice on writing an effective cover letter for this new grad program as I don't have any experince other than clinicals. TIA!

I'd say RN as that is the higher license. You can list your LPN license in your credentials/certifications

Specializes in Leadership, Psych, HomeCare, Amb. Care.

yes, list yourself as RN, but make sure your past LPN skills and experience are clearly noted in both your resume and cover letter.

That is what puts you ahead of the other new grads.
