Congrats natnat, way to go, LS3 was the hardest of the LS's for me. I did rush it a little.

I start FCCA in July, you too? Trying to do them both, started pre reading and marking up the content guides already.

Have read some worrying posts on the EC site forums but I am a worrier lately. Can't really discuss the courses though..hush hush and all that.

Someone on a yahoo group posted yesterday that if you fail one of the two FCCA courses you fail the entire thing supposedly as per an adviser.. but I don't think that is accurate, they are two separate courses. Can anyone confirm?

Awesome!!!!

Maybe you can give some advice. Been browsing allnurses.com for someone who's being successful in Excelsior ADN program. Can you give me some insight/study path? I haven't enrolled yet and will be taking my first exam Transition soon. Im so siked out because of not knowing how to retain the info the fastest yet. Thus far I plan on taking practice exam next week to see where im at, Ive been studying studygroup101 notes, and following excelsior study guide. Attempting to get a good feel for these notes and my way of study by attempting several methods and choosing the best. Unsure if I should read all info and than take exams for retention or just read read and more reading which is time consuming. I need a fast method due to many people read info. but not retain anything and find themselves stumbled come test time. I know I can do well with independent study, but I have to get a great study path that works. Looking to hear other stories to see what make me retain info the best. From reading your post; you seem to have a great way to study. Please share

I can only tell you the way I studied; for the first few exams (Repro, chronicity, lifespan 1, lifespan 2, health differences) I used sg101. Then I found out about bookrenter.com (couldnt afford to buy books) and used the rec reading for the rest. Dont follow me though I'm not all that. lol No but seriously I know it sounds cliche and maybe you've heard it 1000 times before but you have to do what works for you. Some people can do a test every 1 - 2 weeks. Some people need months. DOn't follow anyone. When I tried to follow ppl and take a test quickly I failed. I also never took notes. I'm changing that now (hey never too late huh? lol) for fcca and will take notes with every chapter I read and see if I get higher grades. I"m telling you the things I did wrong just to show you that I'm not perfect with my studying and am still trying. SO you will probably try several study patterns before you find what is right for you in the self study realm.

I hope I made sense! If you have any more questions lemme know! :)
