I quite regularly have these episodes of kind of dazing out. You know I keep walking or doing what ever I was doing but do not hear anyone talking to me and do not know how long I was "out" for although I do know that I dazed out. Could these be petite mal seizures or some other type.
Just some extra info:
I have a CT or an MRI most years because I have a benign tumor on my right orbit that goes up into part of my brain.
I have a genetic disorder called Neurofibromatosis, which is what caused the above mentioned tumor
I have been diagnosed with ADD
I have been diagnosed with depression
I would be greatful to know what on earth could be going on.
As nurses, we can't diagnose. But your symptoms sure sound like something I'd want to bring to a doctor asap. Just a thought--what if you "blanked out" while you were driving? So I think it might be a good idea to stop driving and see your doctor as soon as possible.
