COT and timeline

Hi everyone! So my packet will go before the AF board for the Sept. 23rd deadline. I've been told it's usually somewhere in November when we find out if we are selected or not. Being hopeful that I get a select, can anyone tell me a realistic timeframe of when I could expect to leave for COT after being selected? I also really wanted to get stationed at Ramstein, Germany ( I'm 46N3E) or anywhere overseas; what is the reality about if that's a realistic hope right out of the commission gate? Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the reply. I'm applying to intensive care so it might be slightly different, I am not sure.

I am clinical so you are probably right, or it might depend on the state. I'm in Texas, where are you? How has the process been for you?

It's been crazy. I only started in July. Husband is military so we just came back from overseas, Japan. We are now in Clovis, NM, Cannon AFB. So about 10 min from Texas border. However, I'm going thru the east coast recruiter. Are you going thru SGT Trempe?

Since I just started in July, my recruiter was planning on sending me to January's Board. But I had MEPS done in Amarillo, Texas and it went super quick and really well. Everything just ran so smoothly, it has been crazy on my end trying to get everything done. I'm just waiting on the phone interview and hope to hear from the officer this week. How has your process been? Are you done with everything?

Holy cow.. your recruiter must have busted his butt. This whole process has taken me a year. No my recruiter is in Dallas. Have you been to MEPS?

I know!!! Poor guy! I'm so thankful for his hard work. I went to MEPS in Amarillo, Texas. There was a person from Dallas at Amarillo; since it's a smaller town, it runs way faster, I would recommend it if you haven't done it yet.

I did MEPS in July. I'm prior service AF so I was really dreading MEPS. Downtown Dallas is not fun. Yes, my credit check was completed today and that was the last thing for my packet. Should be turned in tomorrow!

My recruiter put me down for April COT He said since the boards are in Oct they would probably put me in April anyways. I told him I was open for Jan just in case.

April's board or April's COT? And that's great news they did my credit check about a month ago. That's great that you had an insight about MEPS. Mine wasn't too bad, still had to do the full duck walk, but I was the only female.

My recruiter said COT will happen anytime from January to October 2019 and he told me the specific date of the COT classes.

That's supposed to say COT lol

Really? Mine said there are two and they are in January or April.
