Cost of nursing license in CA

Can someone tell me what the yearly, or cost every 2 years is for a California nursing license. One of my isntructors told me today that she knows someone in California who pays $400 yearly for a nursing license?! Is this true? I know in PA its only $40 every 2 years.

I'm starting school in August, so I'm way behind you all, but from what I can find on the CA BON site, the renewal fee is $85. I don't know if that's annually or every other year.

It's every other year, and I just checked the CA BON website. It's $30-85 depending on the type of license. The advanced licenses are going to be more.
