We are told that the monthly cost of IPN is $40. However, our facilitators have/do accept $10/wk from participants who have difficulty coming up with the full $40 at the beginning of each new month.
There are participants who are counting on every dollar they earn, even if they are married or have a partner who is also working full time. For the most part, the local facilitators have tried to be very accommodating and patient in our group. However, if there are participants who are months behind or never pay on time, they will make the announcement that they are not a 'bank.'
Can't blame them, they have bills too.
I’ve been in several different groups over the years and the majority are $50 a month. One, bizarrely was $80. Thought that was a bit ridiculous. The current (and longest lasting and thank the dieties the last) is $50. We are expected to pay, or if we can’t, to get with the facilitator privately. The person that runs mine is very accommodating and understands when you are unemployed, etc, but does expect you to communicate. Not unreasonable, I don’t think.
