Nurses are on the frontlines of the COVID-19 response. We have created a Coronavirus Response Fund for Nurses to enable the public to support and thank nurses. The national fund will address the identified, emerging needs of nurses and will focus on:

- Providing direct financial assistance to nurses

- Supporting the mental health of nurses – today and in the future

- Ensuring nurses everywhere have access to the latest science-based information to protect themselves, prevent infection, and care for those in need

- Driving the national advocacy focused on nurses and patients

This national effort is being kicked off with a $1.5 million grant from Johnson & Johnson and the TYLENOL brand. Together, we encourage like-minded organizations and individuals to come together and join us by donating to this fund. https://www.nursingworld.org/foundation/programs/coronavirus-response-fund/

ANA Foundation has partnered with NY based NURSES HOUSE (established 1924) to provide financial assistance to those nurses in need: affected by a Covid-19 infection, caring for a family member with Covid-19 or under Covid-19 mandated quarantine. Nurses can access assistance assistance directly from Nurses House. This grant will be open to all nurses RN, LPN/LVN in the United States through July 31, 2020 or until the fund is depleted.

Mission: Nurses House is a national fund that provides short term grants to nurses who are unable to work due to medical crisis. Assistance provided helps cover basic needs such as rent or mortgage payments or medical expenses.

In partnership with the American Nurses Association, Nurses House established a COVID-19 fund which provided grants to 2,417 nurses throughout the United States. From April through July the amount distributed in grants totalled $2,734,500. The COVID-19 grant program closed on July 8th. Thanks to ANF for their generous support and to all of the sponsors and donors who helped make this campaign such a huge sucess.

Registered Nurses who have not applied for the COVID-19 grant but who are facing hardship due to COVID-19 or another medical issue may apply for our regular grant program. See the guidelines on the "apply for help" page to determine if you qualify. As the applications for our general grant program are rapidly increasing, we need help to keep up with the demand. Please see our donate page to make a donation to our general fund.
