You haven't heard anything either?

Nope.

I suppose there's still a glimmer of hope, but I'm not holding my breath. I may start looking for an RN job outside the acute care setting and then try getting into a 'New to Specialty Program' down the line. Hopefully, it's not as competitive as getting into a new grad program.

So is it true that if you start off in home health or hospice it's harder to get into a hospital? Also, did anyone email her and got a response? She didn't respond to my follow up email

Yeah I emailed both recruiters but only one of them replied to me, this was yesterday

Same here. I've been trying for months, it's so discouraging. Try looking into Prime Health hospitals. I hear they hire new grads and are a little easier getting into. They pay lower than most hospitals, but it's something to get your foot in the door.

Do you know anything about Parkview Community Hospital in Riverside? Someone told me they hire new grads.

I applied to parkview  each month because career services told me to as they hire new grads each month but yet I have not gotten any response.

I would assume that unless you've been a nurse for many years who's only worked in home health of hospice, then they may have some reservations about hiring you, but if you're a relatively new nurse who only been in it for a year or two, I don't see how that would be an issue.

My application portal updated to "Reviewed, not selected" today 🙁

Same, also officially not selected 😞

Same here,🙄I wish you all better luck next time. As for me I've pretty much aged out of being a new grad since it's been almost a year since I graduated. I'm going to look for an RN job outside of acute care, finish my BSN, and try to network more. Hopefully, I'll have better luck getting into a New to Specialty Program in the future.

I'm going to do the exact same. My student loans are kicking in next month so I need something really fast. I wish you the best of luck as well. We got this.
