I've looked throughout the course documents and couldn't find what this abbreviation meant and what it was equal to.
Gr. v = mg
From what I found online, Gr. = grains and v=volume and Gr. v = 30 mg?
And when it would say Gr. 3 = ___ mg It would be asking 3 grains is equal to how many mg?
I hope this sounds correct?

V is roman numeral for 5 and roman numerals are used with grains a lot in my nursing program.
The equivalency is 60 mg = 1 grain
15 grains = 1 gram
so I think they are asking you:
v (5) grains = how many mg
but it is kind of hard taking it out of context.
Does this help?
