I might be putting this in the wrong spot, if so I apologize.
I am having problems figuring this question out for my GOBC1 hw.
An oxygen cylinder has a volume of 50 L and a pressure of 200 atmospheres. If this cylinder is used to supply oxygen to a patient at a flow rate of two liters/minute at 1 atm pressure how long will the tank last.
a. 50.5 hours
b. 83.2 hours
c. 135 hours
d. 1.35 x 10^4 hours
This is my first time seeing such a question. Can you explain how you got the answer and walk me through it. :loveya:
Thanks
anyone please... :bowingpur

Ok so you take 50LX 200atm divided by 2 L/min X 1atm the Liters get crossed out and the atms as well if you remember Basic algebra then you are left with minutes so 50X200 = 10000 then divided by 2 which gives you 5000min. now the 5000min have to be converted to hours which is 5000/60 = 83.2 When you round it off.
Hope this helps and here is a website that might help you practice http://www.dosagehelp.com/
Just remember when all else fails refresh your memory with some basic Algebra and some Chem math this should help out alot
