I've been a PCU/Stepdown RN for about 2 years now and I'm considering travel. I have a family with 2 school age children and 1 preschooler. My husband is a stay at home dad. I know that traveling with a family can be done, but I'm wondering does everyone who does this homeschool? What are tips and tricks for traveling with family in tow? Also, I've spoken with a manager and anticipate an offer soon from Roper in Charleston, SC. Does anyone have any experience with this organization?
To further throw a kink into my decision, I was just called for a M-F School nurse position here where I live. It would be a pay cut and I know I would get tired of it, but it would be a great schedule for my family. Am I being selfish by considering dragging my family with me? Although I know I'm the one who has to decide, any advice and perspective is appreciated. Thanks!

I'm currently looking for my first assignment and do not have kids, so I'm not the best person to ask, but I think that would be a great opportunity! From what I've read on these forums, travel nurses with kids that homeschool really enjoy it and like being able to show their kids new things/cities. Plus, your husband is a stay at home dad, so that makes it 100% easier! As long as your kids and husband are on board, you have enough financial cushion for your family, and you like your specialty, I'd say go for it! Plus, pay is decent (from what I hear)
