I am considering taking Vickie Milazzo's course to become a CLNC. However, after reading some of the past forums, I am concerned about finding attorney's that are interested. I would like to call a few attorney's to get a feel for the need in my area (western Pennsylvania). Can you give me an idea of where to start? What type of attorneys should I call? What kind of questions would I ask?
Any insight you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

i have been practicing as lnc for several years. i started out sending marketing letters in the very beginning (still do this as i need).
but, the interviews came with phone calls. after 3 phone calls, i landed my first interview. and, had 3 interviews with the next 3 calls. my first case came after an attorney found my name on a listserv with aalnc and contacted me. at the beginning, most of my cases were local. since then, many come from out-of-state. phone call and letter marketing as well as word-of-mouth and written references from other attorneys.

Thanks for your advice. I have read the marketing ideas and will forge on. I knew I would have to perservere, just wasn't sure how long or what to expect as far as time goes. My goal is to be established in about 3 years when daughter enters High School.

Not afraid of the hard work that it would take to market, I just want to have realistic expectations. Have checked into V. Millazzo's course and while it sounds great, it is very pricey. so am checking other options... any suggestions?? Thanks.

Check out the sticky threads about the Milazzo course and the online AALNC course. There are other courses out there, too. Just keep researching and if you have specific questions about any of them, please post here.
When I first started out, I was working FT clinicals. Couldn't keep up that pace. I had to have at least 3 days a week to market and start/complete cases. But, some do work at least part time. And, if you plan on serving as an Expert Witness, you must be working in the clinical areas some.
Just start out and see how you prosper. Like I said, I could not market and work FT. It just wasn't feasible for me. I still teach and often take ED call, so I still am clinically active.
