Connecticut State Community College - Selective 2025/2026 Admissions

Published

Hello. I am looking to apply to the CT State Community College - Capital Nursing program for the 2025-2026 semester! I have completed the required pre-req's for admission, and completing additional core but not required courses (Ex. A&P II) when the Fall semester opens next week. I'm likely going to apply to more than one selective admissions program to be sure I follow the destiny meant for me.

I'm wondering what everyone's stats are as we all are getting ready to apply to the selective admissions program. Mine are...

A&PI : A

TEAS: 79.3%

Nursing GPA: 3.7

Happy studying, and selective admissions application time fellow students!! I hope this thread proves to be as productive as others have in years past 🙂

Please give an update when you hear back because I applied to Capital as well. Fingers crossed it isn't May...waiting for the 7th was already long enough😭

I received an email back. They told me Capital students will know April 7th. As for when the program starts, I know the semester starts Fall 25' but there will be an orientation that's required before that. We won't know the dates/times for it though until we're accepted.

So the info session is mandatory? I will be in Greece, I guess I will have to make it happen! LOL

No,  info sessions are separate from orientation. Info sessions are for people interested in the program and most who attend them haven't applied or finished pre-req's. The orientation will only be provided to students who are accepted. No way to know when the orientation is yet. Pretty sure every program has their own separate orientations.

Hi Dylan,

You should be hearing within the next two weeks of April. I don't have an exact date, please check your personal email for the acceptance/waitlist email. Thank you and good luck!

I just got a change on my application saying deferred and then Spring 2026. Which is when northwestern would be starting. I emailed my advisor and special admissions. I am not sure what to think of this and I am so nervous!

Let us know what they say. Hopefully this means we are in 😅

Especially since Northwestern only starts nursing in the Spring. I don't know what Spring 2026 nursing AS means. I am so nervous! I feel like I'm not going to breathe until Monday.

This is the email I got this morning:

Your application is complete and you are an eligible applicant to the Nursing Program at Northwestern for the 2025-2026 program which starts Spring 2026.  You will receive an email on Monday, April 7thwith additional information regarding your admission status.

Congratulations on your acceptance, may your new path in life brings you many 🙌 blessings

Thank you! I am not 100% certain it means I am in seat #1-32 (NCCC only takes 32 candidates) but at least it wasn't a denial letter! I think there is a possibility about being waitlisted. Hoping for the best Monday! Good luck everyone! 4 days!
