Hi, seeking some feedback. I currently work 24 hour's as a Tech at a state Magnet hospital. Benefits are great and need the health benefits. If I dip below 24 I loose those benefits. I was looking for people's feedback who been through the program is it doable to work 24 hour's during these program's?

I am looking into paying for school via financial aid, tuition reimbursement, and loans. Curious if you were able.to.receive more aid going the accelerated route? Talked to a few state school's about the traditional routes they said number of classes be taking for nursing school would not be eligible for financial aid.

So I am kind of go for the associate's degree to online BSN or accelerated route.

Is there RN to MSN program's in the state?

Due to already having a degree you won't be offered any financial aid other than government loans, and even then it's not enough to directly cover all the costs. The rest is either payed out of pocket or by private loans. I've never personally done tuition reimbursement, but I've heard that generally a lot of companies pay you back after the fact, so you may have to pay the costs up from through loans.

Never used FASFA before had a calculator on their site that offered an estimate gave me ballpark $10,000 not sure if for a year or for whole time enrolled. First go around paid out of pocket for school so financial aid loans are brand new to me. Working 24 hours I receive up to $2K at the end of the semester.

I'm at Gateway, I have a Bachelor's in biology, and couldn't afford the accelerated programs. I think with the an associate program you can work 24 hours ok, but it would be tremendously difficult in an accelerated program. The community colleges have articulation agreements with many BSN and Sacred Heart for their RN to MSN if you meet the minimum GPA requirements. Good luck on whatever path!
