Hi I am a nurse in CA and OH. I am so proud of everyone at Cook County Hospital. You are sending a very powerful message to administration. You are an inspiration for nurses across the USA!
This may be a dumb question but, what is CNA? If it is union, I thought that Cook Co. already was union?
Thanks,
Gen
p.s. the reason I am so interested is I worked for a major, (not county) healthcare system around here that rhymes with hadvocate that was not union at all, for three years and from that experience am very interested in working as a union member
Cook Co. Nurses were successful in throwing out the INA and joining the NNOC (National Nurses Organizing Committee ) ----which is an arm of the Califonia Nurses Association.
Here's the web site - http://www.nnoc.net/
Congratulations to the famous Cook County registered nurses!
Are there any Cook County/Stroger nurses members of ALLNURSES.COM?
If so let us know how it is going.
Have you started the difficult and important work of negotiating your contract yet?
