Ok, we've all had patients who said they had THIS when they meant they had THAT and it can be both confusing and frustrating (mostly for US when we try to decipher it all)!
But how about this one:
Yesterday, little ol' man tells me he doesn't know what all the fuss is about concerning Ebola; after all, he had it years ago from going on a camping trip and after the diarrhea and cramping passed, he was just fine.
Ummm....except he said "Eboli" not "Ebola" and after a moment I realized he was thinking of "e.coli".....sheesh!
Handed him the Clue of the Day, and his eyes widened and he said "nope, never had THAT before..."!!

That's sooo funny! He should be appointed the Eboli Czar!!! That would be a funny Saturday Night Live skit except that only the medical professionals would get the humor.
