i am a hospice nurse- 9+ years, 39 yrs nursing.
i have done tons of research on travel nursing and companies.
not a lot of hospice contracts around.
anyway, i was quoted less than $20 an hour. including $1800 housing stipend, $250 incidentals per wk, $200 a month figured in for insurance. $500 travel allowance total to get there and home. No car. housing in that areas runs $700 at least.
that is less than i take home now.
is this the way it is. i am really disappointed.

That doesnt sound like such a bad deal to me! $20/HR + $1800/housing + $800/Perdiem + another $200 for Insurance?? You should be taking home $1300/week minus $175/week housing= $1100/worse case scenario (unless your housing is more than $700).

Doesn't sound terrible at all. Don't forget that you aren't paying taxes on the majority of your money unless if you don't have a tax home.
