Sorry about the duplicate post.

I'm new to the board and need some advice....

Which states do not accept Excelsior? I live in NYC and people here are so against online schools. So with all the negative feedback I was receiving, I went the traditional route. I would like to further my education to BSN after my RN but I don't want to waste money if the degree and license is of no use. I'm taking classes I've already taken and passed. My science courses were accepted through EC but this darn traditonal school is having me repeat it. Please.......help........I am about to lose everything including my mind. Please give me some information as to where to look and how to proceed. I knew I should have enrolled in EC last year!:angryfire

from what i know, california and maryland do not acccept excelsior. some states have "some" restrictions like, you have to work a certain amount of years (usually 2 years) in another state then they will allow you to endorse. you should visit the distance learning forum for more information.

NYC does accept Excelsior credits and you can become an RN under them. What you can do, to clarify is to call the Board of Nursing.
