Hi everyone. I love the idea of legal nursing. Im majoring in nursing this fall and LOVE to help and care for people but i also like the business world too especially law. Im 19 years old and will be graduating in 3 years with a bachelors in nursing and a minor in business . What would i need to do to be able to work for an insurance company. Will i be able to work for one right when i get out, or should i stick to being in the hospital for a few years? Are there special courses i need to take to work for a lawyer? What type of business should i minor in for this, and are there any other opportunities similar to legal nursing that involve the business world. All opinons and suggestions are needed. Thanks everyone.

hello, wackyj2000 and welcome to the legal nursing forum
i always advise the rn to get some clinical experience before breaking into an lnc career. as for courses to take to work for a lawyer, you should pursue some type of lnc program after about 3-5 years rn experience.
other career choices could be the paralegal and nurse paralegal.
good luck with your future career plans.
