Im a tech who works a union job. We have 5 day work weeks and 2 sick days count as one occurence and dont require doctors note. We can have 2 occurences in a yearly quarter (3 month period).
However our state has this 40 hour sick law where if u are sick more than 40 hours in a year u might get a warning.
Im confused how this works with us healthcare ppl whose "2 sick days" are supposed to count as "one"?
So if u have 3 occurences in one year (8 hrs x 6 days = 48 hours) thats a warning even tho they occured within separate quarters of the year? Im confused...

I see. So even if u have only 3 occurences(48 hours) for the whole year, then that would trigger the consequences of my state's 40 hour sick law?
On a separate note, what if you only use 1 sick day instead of 2 in a row? Is there anything wrong with that?
