confused about the NET

I want to take the NET this January for a LPN program. I've read and seen some study guides which have english, math and science sections. I've also seen ones without the science part. My question is, is there science on the NET test or not? Thanks.

There is a science comprehension section on the NET, but some schools don't count it. Check with you school's advisors to see which sections are counted in your admission to the nursing program.

My study guide did NOT have anything about Science in it. I don't know if this is ALL NETs but my test was made by ERI .. and the study guide I have was also made by ERI and the test DID have a Science section on it. However, it will not be calculated in our grade, only the Math & Reading Comprehension are calculated and the science is just for diagnostic purposes. My school's website also did not say anything about there being anything other than the Math & Reading (what was counted) so if your school only mentions certain things, than that is probably all that they are grading.

The Science section on the NET made by ERI was 15 questions and you had 15 minutes, nobody needed the full amount of time though. And honestly it wasn't stuff that was TOO difficult, it was for the most part your basic biology questions. Oh I should mention that my NET was given on paper and pencil. You may have more science questions if you're taking it on the computer.

yes there are science questions on the NET. I took mine back in August of this year. It was composed of math, reading comprehension, grammar, science, test taking skills, styles of learning, and anxiety sections. Mine was given on a computer and we were provided with scratch paper for the math section. The only sections that my school counts towards getting into the nursing program is the math & reading sections. They had told us that the other sections are for the instructors to use to determine the best teaching methods for their classes.

I studied 2 months for my test. And i did very well. i was so proud of myself! It really does help if you get one of the NET practice books. and take lots of practice tests. And time yourself while taking them too.

Good luck!:D
